introduction to R programmingOverview
This tutorial is based on a course I taught before. The aim of this tutorial is to help people to gain a basic understanding of R programming. Instead of focusing on statistical tests, this tutorial will cover basic concepts and techniques in R programming such as index, loops, and customized functions. I believe that these basic techniques are very important for people to learn to use more advanced techniques in R. In addition, the techniques introduced here can be transferable to other computer programming languages. Tutorial structure I will start each lesson with some explanation of concepts. I then will show you some example code. I may repeat concept explanation-code demonstration for a few times in each lesson. At the end of each lesson I will give several questions for practice, and their solutions. Learning Outcomes I hope that at the end of this tutorial you will learn to:
